High Plains Renaissance Faire Performer Application

Before You Begin – What You’ll Need

Please gather these items ahead of time so you can complete the form smoothly:

• Headshot or clear recent photo of yourself, that we can use in promotional materails should your application be accepted.

• Resume or short performance bio (even a simple list of experience is fine)

• 1–3 minute video audition that includes:

  • A brief self-introduction (name + the type of performance you’re applying for)

  • For actors, a short comedic or classical monologue

  • For musicians, 16 bars of any song sung a cappella

  • Full-body movement when possible – Optional short clips of extra skills (instrument, dance, juggling, etc.).

  • Upload the video as an unlisted YouTube link or attach the file.

Once you have these ready, the rest of the form only takes a few minutes.

Video Audition Submission

Please submit a 1–3 minute video via unlisted YouTube link (preferred) or direct file upload.

Video Guidelines:

• Start with a brief self-introduction: State your name, the type of performance you’re auditioning for, and a short note about your character or style.  

• Actors, perform a comedic or classical monologue (30–90 seconds).  

• Musicians, include a sample of your music.

• Show movement and energy whenever possible — we want to see how you move and interact with space.  

• Optional (but encouraged): Add short clips (total under 1 minute) showcasing additional skills like instruments, dance, juggling, improv, or stage combat.  

• Film in good lighting with clear audio. Phone video is fine if it’s easy to see and hear.  

• Have fun and let your personality shine — we love enthusiastic, engaging performers!
